FISH N CO Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK): Valentine's Dinner

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
How was your Valentine with your loved ones? Well, technically I'm single, but I'm just..very happy! I went dinner with my bestfriends at Pantai Indah Kapuk. The original plan is that we're going to have ramen as dinner, but as we went to two ramen houses, all sold out. It was crazy and it was such a heavy traffic jam at PIK. Never experienced PIK like that before.

So we decided to try the most beautiful Fish N Co yet, the one at Pantai Indah Kapuk. I love the decoration of the restaurant, technically it's not very big, but the interior is designed to be minimalist...gorgeous.

I took some shots of their beautiful interior and exterior and these are for you my lovely readers :).

We had great meals for the dinner. We are blessed.
I don't think any of this picture of food below needs introduction. They're just famous.

The best Fish and Chips in Town
So far indeed is the best!
IDR 79.000

Fries fries fries!
IDR 25.000

Red Fish Fillet with Peri-peri sauce.
IDR 85.000
This one is a little unique because I've never tried this before and turns out it's quite good, but if you are not a big fan of fish and strong taste and smell, I don't recommend you this.

It was a great night, great dinner and absolutely..great friends!

Opus Cafe, Plaza Indonesia

I had another reunion with my high school bestfriends and we went eating at this beautiful restaurant named 'Opus Cafe', well technically, obviously this is not your typical cafe, this is obviously more restaurant and bistro like, but sometimes I love the idea of naming a venue with cafe, that just sounds vintage but appetiting at the same time :).

I just love the decorations and how they deco the place, that's why I keep taking photos at the same area.

I don't know why but I just love the branding :).

Yes, they're using TWG tea!
Okay, this is obviously the part that you've been waiting for... what did we get to eat. Originally, we're craving for pastas and we haven't tried this restaurant so we decided to give a shot, how's it turn?

Bolognaise Spaghetti
I would say this is obviously the good old bolognaise spaghetti, rich in tomato sauce and minced meat. It was good for me.

Mushroom Aglio Olio Spaghetti
This one is recommended, I do love this and I think you guys should also try this one, it's just delicious, well-balanced and for you mushroom lovers, this is so good, but beware it's so spicy.

Chicken Stroganoff Fettucinne
This has a huge hint of paprika, but since I've no problem with it then I'm totlaly fine, this one is also a delicious dish worth trying, chicken and mushroom are always bestfriends to one another.

Fish and Chips
This is also a good dish, only I wish the skin can be a little more crunchier, than it's perfect, I love the mayonaisse sauce they're using here.

To conclude my culinary experience here, I think you do need to try this restaurant...it's classy, yet homey and I think the price is still reasonable, the pasta starts from 50+ and most food here starts from it to 100+.

I recommend you sitting inside the restaurant, well mostly it's smoking area but I'm sure you can handle that since it's not that insane.

You know me, I play "whatever it is." :).

Oejingo Bimbimbap

The korean wave is totally striking me and so does the culinary. I have lately been very obsessed with everything korean. Just so you know, I'm a VIP and Blackjacks and of course a YG STAN! hahaha. One of my most favorite korean food restaurants is totally Han Gang and Han Gang is probably one of the most famous on the list.

The menu that I'm posting now is obviously one of my most favorite: it is 'Oejingo Bibimbab'. This is the classic bibimbap with squid and garnished with a pretty 'hot' red sauce, it is just simply delicious. I always have at least one menu of korean dish this for my lunch in a week. I wanna give the credits for the squid, thanks for giving me a lot of squids because I love 'em and you will too if you're eating this dish. Han Gang is not stingy.

YUMYUM at last :9.

TOM'S CARAMEL BANANA CHOCOLATE

If you're a big fan of basil and pesto. This is a food worth tasting, I love how it's not creamy and not greasy and those sausage are cooked perfectly and they smell so nice :).
Tom's Caramel Banana Chocolate is such a sweet treat! You'll have glimpse of caramel, chocolate sauce and one scoop of vanilla ice cream to even make it more and more adorable! LOVE IT!

HOME MADE TREATS: DEADFUL TASTY CHOCOLATE

What's a day without a delicious home mad treats? I was craving for chocolate and I suddenly remembered that I have some Hershey's chocolates left from my latest Singapore trip. As what you see on the picture above is one of my sweet experiment. I don't take anything from the internet (recipes), as this is called an experiment, it might end up as a sweet treat or end up as a chaos :(.

I don't recommend this for anyone who doesn't like sweet stuffs as this is dangerously sweet and might be dangerously fattening, but that's probably the least of my care (weight) so I'm going to HAVE SOME SWEET MOMENTS to remember the sweet moments.

If you're wondering about the ingredients used for this experiment, here they are:
- a half of the whole bar of the Hershey's Harmony chocolate bar (192gr)
- 5 pcs of the Hershey Kisses milk chocolate
- 2 pcs of Hershey Kisses chocolate almond
- marshmallow (plain)
- one sachet of Cadbury hot chocolate drink

The most used and general mixture for this experiment is actually the chocolate garnish and dip, so let's start with it first.

CHOCOLATE GARNISH AND DIP:
- put the bars of the Hershey's Harmony chocolate bar, 3 pcs of Hershey Kisses milk chocolate and 1 pcs of Hershey Kisses chocolate almond into a bowl, or it could be anything that's microvable and heat-resistant.
put on the microwave for about 8-10 minutes in maximum heat.

Let's move on to the "Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows"
Level: easy
Approximate time of making: 8 minutes

The longest time taken for creating this actually waiting for the chocolate garnish on top of the marshmallows to melt, while you're preparing for this drink.
I'd like to mix the hot chocolate with the rest of the Hershey Kisses chocolates so that I'd have a fun chocolate taste. After you pour the boiling water to the glass, don't forget to stir, so that the Hershey Kisses could melt, and finally put four marshmallows to the hot chocolate drink and garnish it with nice and hot melted chocolate. This drink is totally my newest love.

I love when the marshmallows kinda melt and you can have some foamy texture and original vanilla taste from the marshmallow. Variant!

Baked Marshmallows with Chocolate Dip
Another fun experiment, this time I'm wondering what it's like to have marshmallow baked in the same time with the melted chocolate. I thought I was going to burn the marshmallows with the fire, but I thought isn't it hideous to burn something that came from the gas, I don't think it's healthy enough and you'll get those gas tasted marshmallow instead.

I kinda thought that the marshmallow's going to melt away, but I end up got a little happy surprise.

Look at how prettily baked the marshmallows are...wait until I try to dig the inside.
I love how it looks and tasted, at first when you put your spoon on the surface, it's absolutely crispy, but soon you'll have this foamy texture and cloud like appearance. I'm in love.

That's for my home made treats of EATandTREATS. Incase you're wondering why is the first picture is written 'part 2' on it, well if you follow my instagram, you'll know that I posted a picture of Starbucks Hot Chocolate with marshmallows.
